Open Play is casual, self-guided play time during our public hours — designed for little ones and their grown-ups to enjoy together.

What to know before you visit for Open Play:

  • Our play space is a clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed for children ages 0–6.
  • We have a full-service coffee bar and café menu with drinks, snacks, and meals for kids and grown-ups. Outside food & beverages are not allowed (with the exception of baby food & diaper bag snacks).
  • Both children and adults are welcome throughout our space. We ask that all visitors remove their shoes and wear socks while in the play area.
  • For the safety of all of our guests, we have a limited capacity. Online reservations are HIGHLY recommended, especially during our weekend hours. Walk-ins are welcome if capacity allows.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pre-reserve a play time?

We HIGHLY recommend making a reservation to ensure your spot. Our play space has a limited capacity to create the best experience for you and your children. We do allow walk ins as our capacity allows!

Are shoes allowed in the play area?

In order to keep our play area clean for the littlest of friends, shoes are not allowed in the play area. We ask that both children and adults wear socks if possible. Alternate arrangements are available for those with special needs!
What if I need to cancel my play reservation?

We know even with the best laid out plans, things happen. We have a parent friendly cancellation policy to accommodate:

Cancellation more than 2 hours before Play Session:

If you have created an account through our booking system, you can cancel your reservation by logging into your account.

Cancellation within 2 hours of play session start time:

Please call 515-644-6331 to cancel your play session and have credit applied to your account for a future visit.
Are outside food and drinks allowed?

We have a full cafe ready to serve you delicious food and drinks to fit all taste buds and diets. We ask that outside food and drinks be left outside other than formula/breast milk, diaper bag snacks, and water.

How often is the play area cleaned?

Having a safe space for your family is our #1 priority which means we take cleaning VERY seriously! Our play area is cleaned throughout the day and fully sanitized every night.
Do I need to sign a waiver before playing?

Yes, all guests are required to sign a waiver before entering the play area. Waivers are valid for 1 year and will need to be signed again if they expire. You can find our waiver HERE!
